Prof. Vijai N. Giri, Ph.D. a professor Communication Studies from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur comes to Yogyakarta to share his academic experiences. For more than 25 years, Prof. Giri has been teaching undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. students. Among others, he is a recipient of the prestigious German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Long-Term-Fellowship and has visited Germany several times to conduct his research work in the area of communication.
As an expert in Organizational, Interpersonal and Intercultural Communication, Prof. Giri is author of the book “Gender Role in Communication Style”, has published almost forty articles in national and international refereed journals, and contributed to many conferences in India and internationally. He has worked as a reviewer for several international journals. Among others, Prof. Giri conducts short-term training programs on Developing Interpersonal Communication Strategies for teachers and managers.
During his stay in Yogyakarta Prof. Giri will give lectures and workshops to students and lecturers.
